Christmas '09

I have been very busy these past few weeks. I have been helping out my previous employer because the person I trained didn't work out:( we had an awesome Christmas with family and friends. I took plenty of pictures of Zeke's first Christmas! He loved ripping the paper and playing with it! I'm posting this from our new itouch so I will post pictures when I get to our computer. Hope everyone had a wonderful christmas!

Exersauser time

We were at a retreat this past weekend with a couple friends and they brought an exersauser with them. I put Zeke in it and he loved it!

It was so cold that he had to wear a little hat! It was so cute!!

4 months old!

4 months ago I met my son for the first time. What an amazing 4 month it has been. I have grown so much as a wife, mother and a daughter of God. I have had so many emotions...fun..scary...tiring...happy...sad...all of that! I would not take it back for anything in the world.
My little man is getting so big. Personality out the wazoo and a smile that can melt a heart:) ok maybe I went a little over board there but I can right..I'm the mom?

He rolled over for the first time yesterday:) I have been waiting for this moment for a while now because he would almost get it then go back over. Well he did it all by himself:) We are so proud of our little man.

Thanksgiving '09

Thanksgiving was so much fun. Chris and I have so much to be thankful for:

A loving God who has unfailing love for us.
A beautiful and healthy son.
A place to live.
A job that provides our needs and some of our wants.
A wonderful family
A wonder group of friends that we get to share our journey with.

I could go on for ever!

We had 4 Thanksgivings altogether this year.
Saturday before thanksgiving we had dinner at Chris' Grandmother Foster.
Then Thursday "Turkey Day" we had an early dinner at Chris' Grandmother Bryant's house. The went straight to my parents house for dinner number two!
What a full day right?!? It was worth it I tell ya. I love getting together with family especial now that Zeke is here because they just flock to him. They all want to hold him which I love because I get to eat food!!! haha
Then Friday "Black Friday" we had leftover Thanksgiving at my second families house.
What a great time with our families. I think Zeke had a good first thanksgiving. I didn't take to many picture..I know I'm a slacker. I do have friends and family that did so I do have proof of our festivities:)
Oh ya I made homemade sweet potato casserole and homemade green bean casserole! They turned out so good. I was very impressed with myself.

So Big

I know I know, I haven't posted in a while. I am a huge slacker!

Well our little man is just growing up! Smiling and talking like crazy. He has such a little personality. He is so much fun to be around and play with. Staying at home with him is great. I wouldn't change it for anything.

Here is a link to website that has pictures of Zeke. A lady from a MOMS group meeting that I am apart of wanted to build her baby and children part of her business. She gave us a free session and it went amazing. This is just a sneak peak. She is sending us a CD with all the pictures on it and I can post them then. He is smiling like crazy now and gaining weight!

I love him more and more each day.

4 weeks

So technically Zeke doesn't turn 4 weeks old until tomorrow but I know if I don't blog today it won't happen until he's one month old! He is getting so big. Chris and I were looking at pictures of him when he was only 1 week old and he was so tiny! He still is pretty tiny but he's getting chunky. I'm happy that he is getting all the food he is needing and gaining weight...but I want him to stay little forever already:)


One of my friends let us borrow her Miracle Blanket this Tuesday. It's supposed to help you baby sleep longer. The longest time that Zeke has slept in a row at night was 2-3 hours!! The last week it was almost every hour! I was a wee bit tired if you know what I mean. Well we tried it Tuesday night for the first time and he slept for 5 hours straight!!! Fed once and then slept for another 3 hours! It was amazing:) That thing really works.I am so happy she let us borrow it. It's not really a blanket more like a swaddle thing. It hold the baby's arms down so when their reflexes go when they sleep it doesn't wake them up. It's amazing! I would recommend this to any mom out there who has a baby that does not sleep very well at night.

Chris and I took some nakie pictures of him last night. It was so funny...I think he really liked being naked.
